About Me
Cakes by T started in 2009 when my sister and I attempted to make an enormous red car cake for her son Andrew's second birthday. With little experience in baking cakes and even less in decorating (especially with fondant!) the cake was...let's just say....memorable but definitely not pretty. Despite what the cake looked or tasted like that day started my most cherished tradition: making birthday cakes for my (now eight and counting) nephews & niece's each year.
Over fifteen years and countless cakes later, the privilege of being a small part of people's most special days brings me my greatest joy.
In addition to making custom cakes I also love baking for my Little Bakery stand, the menu rotates and options include cakes, cookies, pastries, bread, crackers, and everyone's favorite cinnamon rolls. Outside of baking, one of my favorite activities is walking in and around Ridgewood with my dog, Tippy. Ridgewood has such a rich history and I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community. I am also very proud to be a member and current President of the Ridgewood Fourth of July Committee since 2012. The committee is a private, all-volunteer group that fundraises and plans for all of Ridgewood's Independence Day activities including the flag raising. parade, security, evening entertainment, and fireworks display. I take great joy in ensuring Ridgewood's greatest tradition continues for generations to come.
